Tech Diversion

Tech-diversion is a series of workshops undertaken by iCommunity Sri Lanka promoting the application of technology entrepreneurship (technopreneurship) in various fields of the industry. Tech-diversion aims to empower rural youth to become technopreneurs who are versant to apply technology in industries that require modernization in Sri Lanka. The first series of workshops was conducted for a group of youth who have the basic knowledge in IoT and electronics concepts. They were taught to apply design thinking and creative problem-solving techniques on the problems existing in their society.

Throughout these workshops, participants came up with various domains such as agriculture, aquaculture and fisheries, environmental pollution, marine ecosystem sustainability, food safety and sustainable food production, sustainable apparel production and much more. iCommunity, throughout its lifetime, will keep supporting these youth to turn these innovative solutions into social enterprises.
